A tiny bar in Paris, created by Franck Audoux, called Cravan is a jewel of a café and cocktail bar in a historic Art Nouveau building. They serve classic French cocktails with a twist, like the incredibly refreshing French 75, perfect for a warm summer day.
I’ve been shopping at Épicerie Gdetou in Paris ever since I arrived here, and said that if the shop didn’t exist, I didn’t know if I could live here. It’s where 'in the know' Parisians shop for everything, from fragrant vanilla beans (at near wholesale prices!) to the best French chocolates, sold in bars or in bulk. I stopped by to talk with owner Benoît Bourloton about the various chocolates he carries in the shop and what makes French chocolate so special.
Due to the heatwave, I pivoted to making chocolate frappés instead of chocolat chaud for my book signing event. If you come, there will be glasses of that (while supplies last!).

One of my favorite restaurants in Paris. The Chocolate Mole Brownies are perfectly spiced and are the most popular dessert in the restaurant.
I asked my friend @margot.combat of @combat.belleville cocktail bar in Paris to come over and try one, warm out of the oven…and give her honest take.
Had a rhubarb chausson aux pommes for breakfast, enjoyed it.
Enjoyed shoyu ramen, it was delicious.
Loved the pickled strawberries.
Delightful (and delicious) springtime salad of fresh peas, tomatoes, and strawberries. The main course was also stellar, as was the service.
I signed books here and it was great to meet many of you in person.
The store requests that you reserve a book in advance, to ensure that you’ll get a copy.

I will remember the delicious chocolate chip cookie from here.
I had a well-deserved Manhattan and a hefty slice of chocolate cake here, which I shared with three friends.
